WE LOVE JEANS
Materials
Jeans are in our DNA. Shaping our story since day one, and still at the core of everything we do. All cotton in Weekday jeans denim fabrics has been organic or a blend with organic and recycled cotton as a standard since 2015. Exception has been made for four styles with so called in-conversion cotton. In-Conversion Cotton is grown by farmers converting to organic farming. During the 3-year conversion period, all the practices are the same as the ones required for organic certification, meaning no artificial pesticides or fertilisers and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are used.
Later years the focus has been on increasing the share of recycled cotton, using either end-of-life textile waste or textile waste in production. The cotton waste is mechanically recycled and spun into new yarn. Since 2021 all WEEKDAY jeans denim fabrics have at least 5% recycled cotton share, with 20-40% share being the most used.
Information of the materials can be found under the details on each product online.
Design & care
We want our jeans to be loved for long and to be reused, remade or recycled after you have used them. Therefor we design our jeans with attention to material choice, construction, and finishing processes.
To help your jeans last longer, wash them cold and inside out. Hang drying instead of tumble drying is gentler on the fabric and helps maintain the fit and colour over time.
Denim is a fabric that only gets better with time. Fix them, flip them, make them yours. Every rip, patch and stitch add to the story. Bored of your jeans? Change them up. Tailor them. Distress them. Add something weird. Whatever your vibe, it’s all part of the process.
When you no longer want to keep your jeans, consider passing them on, donating them, or reselling them to give someone else the chance to use them.
