Sustainability goals

When it comes to sustainability, there’s always more to be done. Today 68% of our products are already made from sustainable materials. We are 100% committed to doing better.

Here are our goals for the upcoming years:

  • 2020, using only organic or recycled cotton.
  • 2025, using only reusable, recyclable or compostable plastic in our packaging.
  • 2030, 100% recycled or sustainably sourced materials.
  • 2040, 100% climate positive.

Our goal is to use only recycled or organic cotton by 2020, in our garments. We also want all our materials to be sustainably sourced by 2030.

We are taking actions to eliminate unnecessary plastic packaging and use 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable plastic in our packaging, by 2025. As a part of H&M group, we have a goal of achieving a climate positive value chain by 2040. What does that mean? Basically, reducing more greenhouse gas emissions than what our value chain emits.
