Weekday doesn’t just focus on fashion, but also encourages consideration. We try to think beyond ourselves and want to take care of the people around us. That’s why we’ve joined forces with RFSU (the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education) to produce a range of condoms and sell them in Weekday stores.

We want to encourage a positive attitude towards buying, carrying and using condoms and since Weekday jeans already have the perfect pocket to keep condoms in, it’s easy to be carefree, not careless.

It doesn’t matter who you sleep with or how long you’ve known each other, if you respect them – protect them. Keep a condom in your 5th pocket.

As a cornerstone of the campaign, RFSU and Weekday have made a film with Swedish director Christian Larson and production company Standart, with the aim of enhancing the campaign message and helping to raise awareness around the topic of contraception.

20% of the sales from all WEEKDAYxRFSU products will be donated to RFSU to support their international contraception and prevention program. RFSU work for the right to contraception, abortion and sexual education, awareness of sexual law, equality, training for health care professionals, a life without discrimination for homosexual, bisexual and transsexual people and much more. This work helps in the fight against poverty, and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS.

Poverty doesn’t just refer to the lack of money, knowledge skills or health care, but also includes the inability to influence your own situation in life. Poverty is closely associated with oppression, discrimination and stigma. To reduce poverty it is important to encourage the kind of social development where gender equality and the enjoyment of basic rights are in focus. An investment in sexual and reproductive rights and health, including the right to contraception, results in both economic and social development.
